Immigration Law Specialist Fernando Alonso, Esq.
One of the Hot Button Issues of Our Time is Immigration.
As I’m sure you’re aware, this was a central issue of the presidential campaign and has led to a great deal of speculation about what changes are coming. Regardless of what new rules and regulations are adopted, the changes will be more restrictive and more vigorously enforced immigration policies. So what does that mean for you, your family or your employees if your status is not already settled? It means that you should act now to begin the process of obtaining legal status to stay in the U.S., before any tightening of the regulations are enacted. While no one knows what the changes are going to be, I believe that the time to act is now. If your application is already pending you will have a much better chance of getting through the process during the time when the congress and the president battle over tightening the rules. Then, when they do change the rules, you will already be in the system and most likely have a better chance to get through the more restrictive policies. Should you, a family member or an employee need advice and assistance with their immigration status, please do not delay in taking steps to secure your right to stay in the country. Call me and I’ll be happy to discuss your situation at no cost to you. In future videos, I will address specific situations and what changes appear to be taking shape and are likely to be enacted. So check back every once in awhile to see what has happened.
Few legal issues have been more hotly debated lately than the issue of immigration and how the millions of undocumented aliens should be treated.
